Fire on Lion Island

Lion Island on fire after lightning strike

(25th August 2018)

Here are some of the photos I took of the bushfire burning on Lion Island on the Central Coast on 25th August 2018.

The entire island erupted in flames after a lightning strike sparked a fire during a mid-afternoon storm.

The NSW Rural Fire Service and National Parks & Wildlife were called to the blaze which covered an area of around two hectares.

Lion Island is a nature reserve and is home to one of New South Wales largest little penguin colonies.

The fire smouldered for several days.

Fire on... ‘Little St. James Island’ in the Caribbean ???

It was brought to my attention that the Clover Chronicle used my image without permission in a report about a massive fire on a private island owned by Jeffery Epstein.
